Hello all,
Pulp has failed in my group and it is time to find my figures a good home.
There are a lot of them, some painted, some primed, some still raw metal. Unfortunately I do not have pictures of all of them, but I can show you some examples of my finished paint work.
I'm selling them in lots and at a flat rate of about $2/fig painted or otherwise. Each lot will have a shipping cost listed for it and I'll negotiate combined shipping. PayPAl please.
I've got
4 x Foundry Cowboys - $5 shipping
5 x Pulp Figures Zeppelin Troopers in gas masks - $5 shipping
8 x Brigade U-Boat Crew (6 painted, one base black - Captain, officer, junior officer, three rifles, one SMG and one HMG) - $5 shipping

That is truly a crying shame Eli.
Pulp gaming is such a riot, especially in today's social climate, plus an adventure in and of itself.
Great stress relief!
I wish I could pick up some of your figures; Christmas is already at full tilt as far as the finances.
Maybe if you have some left after the first of the year, I might be able to get the ones I want.
Best wishes on your other gaming Eli! |

Philistines! Not liking Pulp gaming...bah...they are all worthless and weak!
I hope they don't suck you into some other form of gaming that leaves you questioning your sanity.

The like pulp gaming as RPG but not as minis gaming. Evidentally they are not overly keen on mixing RPG and minis games.

Most RPG games I have been involved with wind up being miniatures games eventually, if not immediately.
I had a similar discussion awhile back with guys at the local gaming store about pulp gaming. They play Star Wars miniatures and seemed markedly disinterested in trying out FW, despite the fact I would provide everything necessary save a couple hours of their time.
I have to guess a lot of folks are just flat unaware of what "pulp" really means, I can not imagine life without the pulp influence. _________________ Ryan

| My one attempt at a local gaming store went nowhere. Couldn't get a soul interested. |

No wonder you found no interest - you tried only once.
To get people to play Pulp, you, yourself, as the initiator and organizer, have to be tireless and show every bit of determination, stamina and grit the best Pulp heroes and the worse Pulp villains all show.
You need to go back a few times, at very least, and make people want, no desire, to play Pulp because they see how much fun you have and how you love it.
Through your own enthusiasm and perseverance, you can construct a group that will play Pulp for years.
Been there!
DONE THAT!
Smooth landings Timothy! |

i just dont see the point in collectable gaming like star wars or hero clix, but i have noticed that in many cases people into those games dont like wargames where you actually have to A piant your own figures B choose what you actually get in a pack C do anything outside opening the box to learn to play.
so its a matter of the gamers you are playing with. Oddly I find that GW people(especially the rabid maniacs that work in thier stores) will do nothing but scoff at any games or figures not made by thier masters..of all people |

yeah that is the fault of the SALES MAN, and by that i mean the person who was trying to get people to play.
Look I go to little conventions all the time to play games. In almsot every one i have been to in the last ten years I am the only person not playing GW or some "clicx" style collectable game. I have gotten people interested in my games because of three things
A. Me, I am a salesman by trade who studied acting in college. so i am very entertaining. but this one is only part of it and small part at that.
B well made and created terrain..nothing turns people off to a new game like crappy terrain. no one wants to play on a cardboard box turned upside down for a building and a few rail road trees placed about. You need to have something that other people dont have..
C a darn exciting game. a long in depth game that showcases the depth of the rules is good, dont get me wrong, but there is a reason most "demo" versions of rules are short and sweet. the games should be. remember you are trying to gain their interest not over whelm them.
remember that in most circles you will run in with gaming in stores you are going to find GW and Clix gamers. a very different breed than historical based wargamers |

That so true so often.
Additionally, that is why GW starting dumming down their games back in the late '90s.
The newer gamers, as in the under 30yo crowd, do not want to work at gaming; that is too tough on their fragile psyches.
Granted, there are a few traditional-style (working) gamers in that crowd, but they are in the distinct minority.
The vast bulk of game players (not really gamers, are they?) in that generation typify the generation's style - "I want it now, and I want it easy, but do not make me work at any of it!"

GW gamers, when they finally mature, can be converted to or back to real gaming.
One can convert the GW fanatic.
I have been able to accomplish it.
So can y'all! |

I should mention that I too am in sales.
Perhaps that was my big mistake, not understanding that you have to "sell" the game to people who can't think outside the GW box.
So let me see what I can to sell this concept. |
