|
|
In February of 2005, Rattrap Productions and .45 Adventure were first launched onto the world. Well, it took a while to reach a lot of the world, but the game has now been shipped to more parts of the world than I thought would happen.
To celebrate this historic event in the life of our company, we're going to do something we rarely, if ever, do. We're going to have a sale. And 5 years is a big deal in the life of a small miniature game company so I want the sale to be something big as well.
Each weekend in February(Friday to Sunday) we are going to put select printed books on sale. And we're not talking 10% off or 20% off, but a whopping...
50% off the cover price.
There is one caveat to this deal. It is only going to be on books we have in stock. As you know, we have had to switch printers several times and though we finally have one we like, the prices are higher. I could not offer this deal on the new books being printed, so the stock is limited to what we have had printed from previous printers.
This weekend, the .45 Adventure titles will be on sale. This includes:
.45 Adventure
Dragon Bones
Amazing War Stories
The Gargoyle
Super Science Tales
Next weekend will be the Gloire titles.
If you have wanted to get copies of the printed books at prices nearly the same as our PDFs, now is your chance. And knowing me, we won't have another sale for another 5 years. _________________ Richard A. Johnson

Hah, happy birthday indeed!
I remember the first time I saw some reference to Fantastic Worlds, which brought me to .45 Adventures and the rest of the Rattrap lines.
Although I bought Fantastic Worlds right away, it was a while until I actually got to play it. I was taken by the system right away, and A LOT of my minis purchases over the past year or more have been directed toward these games.
Thanks Rich et al. for all of you hard work, dedication and your real involvement in your gaming community! |

Can't believe it's been 5 years already! I remember those first playtest games I ran way back when for a couple of my favorite victims - er, gaming buds. We had a gas of a time back then and the fun hasn't stopped since!
Let's hope the next 5 are as prosperous and as much fun as the first 5! _________________ "Maybe this planet is another planet's hell?" - Aldous Huxley |

Congratulations!!
One question: is there only one shipment method?, I find USD 31,95 a bit high for buying 2 books for USD 14,-.
Maybe that is the reason I only have PDF of your rules
edit: problem solved; I combined my order with someone elses.
2nd edit: there is another one from the Netherlands who would like to order, can it be combined with my earlier order?

Yes. Tell the third person to place their order and choose store pick up.
In the comments, let them know to tell me to combine with your order.
And as far as shipping is concerned, always ask me for international orders. I can use Flat Rate service for some orders which can be cheaper. I don't have it as an option because there is no way to program the store to let it be used for some orders and not others. _________________ Richard A. Johnson

The sale went VERY well. I think a lot of people decided to add print copies to their PDF versions. I also sold through all the main rulebook and Amazing War Stories that I brought to TempleCon in Rhode Island.
That clears out a lot of the old printer's books (which there is nothing wrong with).
Thanks to everyone and look for Gloire to be on sale this weekend. _________________ Richard A. Johnson

For what it is worth, I think Among the War Parties is one of the best Rattrap releases. Evah.

| I've considered dabbling into Gloire. I'm not sure if I'll do it, though. I've got so much on my plate as it is, adding a new genre altogether probably isn't a good idea. |
