Preparing for Thrilling Playtest
I have been hard at work on the Thrilling playtest mat. (You may have noticed that I dropped the “Fantasy” from the name. Though I am playtesting it with a Fantasy setting, the goal is to have these rules able to fit any genre. You could run anything from Pulp to Science Fiction to Zulu War IF I get them to work correctly.) Here are a couple of more doors, the pit trap and the demon I painted up. Still have many more doors to go as well as all the little touches to make the mat a little more 3D. You may also notice there are a couple of white tiles there. I used the PVC sheet I have to make some generic grids. With those I could drop rooms or secret passages into play without the players being aware of them from the start.
