Alternate Wound Chart

I have been planning to try using the .45 Adventure rules for some lite RPG action. One of the things that I wanted to do, though, was to change up the wound chart a little and make Head and Torso shots more dangerous. So, what I have done is the following:

• Remove the locations off the current wound chart and replace them with numbers 1-4 (1 corresponds to head, etc.)

• Set up a second chart for wounds that goes like this
Head (1) – 1 Box All 4 Stat lines
Torso (2-4) – 1 Box on lines 2, 3, and 4
Arms (5-7) – 1 Box on line 3
Legs (8-10) – 1 box on line 4
The numbers in parenthesis refers to the d10 roll for location of the hit.

This will cause Head and Torso shots to drop the stat lines much quicker and will make these wounds a bit more meaningful to everyone (it won’t just be the smart characters worrying about a head shot). If you re feeling particularly vicious, you could have Arms and Legs hits also remove 1 from the Torso.

If you decide to try this out, be sure to let me know over on our Facebook page.
